December brings with it carol singing and our first engagements of the festive season took place yesterday (1st Dec).
Three sets in two locations, the first on a rather noisy street outside Above Bar church where we competed with the traffic though not, mercifully with the merry-go-round. The second inside at City College’s Christmas Fair where folk were far happier to stand and listen which was heartening.
Your choir sounded great today- really enjoyed them:) had to rush off at the end so sorry I didn’t chat. X Gill Tuck
Hi Penny, You were so brilliant at the Festival Of Music. I really enjoyed it. It was all really superb! I am a Wessex Cancer Trust volunteer in the Southampton Group. Ali Baker
Our next event is being part of many musicians in a concert in aid of Wessex Cancer Trust at Highfield Church on Saturday 29th September, 7pm for 7.30pm. Tickets are £10 from Malcolm Harvey 8036 8101 or Jean Pearce on 8067 7427. Refreshments and nibbles will be available for a donation. Do come and join us for a great evening and raise money at the same time.
its been a bit too long for a photo update so some extra photos from our joint concert in Lyndhurst with the Woodside Singers are now uploaded in our choir gigs gallery.
Together we raised over £1000 for cancer research so well done everyone!
Keep watching as the Big Christmas Sing Photos (I hope) will be up here soon after friday. Hope to see you there.
